English Translation

In those days Mahadev Govind Ranade was the judge of the High Court. They had a keen interest in learning languages. Because of this hobby, he had learned many languages; But the Bangla language was not yet learned. In the end, they solved a solution. He started making hajam from a Bengali hairdresser. As long as the hairdresser makes them shaving, they learn from them a language of Bangla. Ranade’s wife felt this bad He told his husband, “You learn the language with a hairdresser by being the judge of High Court.” If someone will see what will be respected, you have to learn a Bengali, then learn from a scholar. Ranade laughed, “I am thirsty for knowledge.” What do I have to do with the caste and the cast? The wife did not say anything after this reply. Knowledge is not locked in a patch of high and low.
